Behind The Light artistic expressions behind light

In Guyana's stir, a political storm brewed,
before the world's lockdown, a quietude ensued.
Three weeks at home before officially announced,
work from home, mmm no, work from garden began
my cat at my feet and camera in hand
Zoom calls a murmur, as sunlight warmly ran.
Maui, in repose, during lockdown's sombre sway,
This image, a frozen memory, where his mischief lay.
This very plant on the shelf, a constant playful test,
A gentle scolding, as I put it back hopefullest.
Who was the foolish one, in this game we'd play?
A bond of love, in a tender, feline way.
Surrounded by light, in my haven of calm and pinches by paws
I tuned out the chaos out...
The nation's turmoil, often a distant, muffled cry,
but sometimes it pierced, like a blithe in a dark cloudy sky.
Still, camera in hand,
this time without my furry friend
All left's frozen memories, to the garden I'd go,
In nature's embrace, I found some hope.
